“It is also true that the role that alumni play for this school is not only to give money. Giving is important as we don’t survive as a school without alumni support. We aren’t able to be competitive without alumni support, but as important to this school is alumni pride, alumni talking about the school, alumni showing how deeply engaged they are with the school and that’s not just because financial support follows engagement. It’s because the engagement itself is very, very important to us.”
